Über Bassball II
Happy birthday Hellmut Hattler!

- While I Play The Blues 4:58 HELLMUT HATTLER with HATTLER (Music: Hattler/Musebrink, words: Hattler)
Lyrics
Don’t read these lines as you might lose all hope
I drank your wine and burned your favourite dough
Read my talking lips, taste my gritty tears and sigh – while I play the bluesIgnoring calls help to define your scope
All unread notes help to regain some hope
Ignore my desperate vows, believe the latest news and sigh – while I play the blues.Forget the messages I’ve sent before
Ignore my notes and miss the same old score
Kiss my trembling lips, inhale my latest words and cry – while I play the blues.Ignored your look and missed your favourite soap
Ignored your tears and flushed your private dope
Hear my whiny voice, close your tired eyes and die – while I play the blues.- vocals

Lyrics
Can’t go wrong – if there’s a sign beyond the dawn
A day’s too long – if there’s no sleep since you’ve been gone
One night away – no hideaways
Now all I want – is getting away from where I amAre we silly? Are we awesome? Are we frightened?
The next big sign we’re told to long for: the mighty tridentDefine “so long” – don’t want no one to hear me sigh
Feels so wrong not to believe that I’ll survive
Miss our hangs – when we went mad to go too far
Now all I want: is getting away from where we areAre we silly? Are we awesome? Are we frightened?
Are we in what we’ve been out to – worship tridents?Say: don’t you wanna save me, mighty trident, say?
Or are you out to save tobago?
Don’t you wanna save me, silent trident, say?
If you don’t I’ll die, but later – a lil laterCan’t go wrong – while waiting for signs beyond the dawn
Define “so long” – couldn’t find sleep since you’ve been gone
Won’t take long …Seems so long – that we went mad to go too far
Now all I want: is getting away from where we are (now)Are we silly? Are we awesome? Are we frightened?
Now it’s in what I’ve been out for – the mighty trident
Are we silly? Are we awesome? Are we frightened?
We keep on dancing to the wrong songs – to please a tridentFeels so wrong – silent trident
Way too long – you called me frightenedFeels so wrong … feels so wrong …
Are we silly? Are we awesome? Are we frightened?
Call it climbing up the wrong walls – to serve a tridentFeel so wrong – mighty trident
Way too long – you saw me frightenedAre we silly? Are we awesome? Are we frightened?
It’s all erased what I should know to – defeat the trident- vocals

- Tiny Little Mad 2:54 HELLMUT HATTLER & FRIENDS (feat. Sandie Wollasch) (Words and music: Hattler)
Lyrics
Call it truck, call it lorry
If you’d call me I’d be glad
We ain’t lost we ain’t sorry
But a tiny little madAnd to be mad about you really feels fine
I’ll be mad for you as long as you’re mineYou never know what shy hellos one day turn out to be
I only know that love has wiped away all miseryCall it dawn, call it gloaming
If you’d call me I’d be glad
We ain’t done, just done roaming
And a tiny little madBut to be mad about you makes me feel fine
I’ll be mad for you as long as you’re mineCall it truck, call it lorry
If you’d call me I’d be glad
We ain’t lost, we ain’t sorry
Maybe a tiny little madCoz to be mad about you really feels fine
I’ll be mad for you as long as you’re mineI never knew what all these shy hellos turn out to be
I only see that love has blown away our miseryCall it dawn, call it gloaming
If you’d call me I’d be glad
We ain’t done, just done roaming
There’s no reason to be sadCoz to be mad about you makes me feel fine
I’ll be mad for you as long as you’re mine
To be mad about you makes me feel fine- lead vocals
